Maunsell Trophy
COMPETITION DESCRIPTION
This is a handicap Stroke Play competition played over two rounds on two different days.
The first round is played as a NET competition and the TOP 16 NET Scores qualify those players to compete for the Maunsell Trophy. 16th place ties will be separated by a countback to identify a definite qualifier.
Those 16 players then compete in a PAR round played on handicap. This second round is played on another day – usually the following weekend – The best PAR round wins the MAUNSELL TROPHY.
PLAYING RULE VARIATIONS
- The first Round is played by as many players as enter. The second Round is limited to 16 players.
- All participants complete each round on the same day and during the same time as fellow competitors.
- The best PAR round wins the MAUNSELL TROPHY. 1st place ties will be separated by a countback to identify a single victor.
All players in the PAR round will commence their round off the No 1 Tee unless directed otherwise by the Starter.
