This briefing is the base safety layer for all daily operations and work on the course. It must be read and acknowledged before any work is carried out.
1. Key Course Hazards
- Golf balls in flight: Stay alert near fairways and greens. Players always have right of way. Wear high-visibility gear.
- Moving machinery: Keep clear of operating mowers, tractors, and greenkeeping equipment.
- Slips and uneven ground: Exercise caution around steep banks, water hazards, and wet surfaces.
2. Emergency Protocols
- Medical Emergencies: Call 111 immediately. First aid kits are available in the Pro Shop, Clubhouse, and Greenkeeping Shed.
- AED Location: Located adjacent to the Pro Shop entrance.
- Assembly Point: No. 1 Tee.
3. Reporting Hazards and Incidents
- Injuries, Accidents, & Near Misses: All injuries, accidents, and near misses must be reported using the Incident Report form (F-004).
- Hazards: Report any new or changed hazard to the Head Greenkeeper so controls can be put in place.
- ALL notifiable events (serious injury, illness, or death) must be reported to the Secretary/Manager immediately so WorkSafe NZ can be notified and the scene preserved.
