After two weeks of burning temperatures and no rain, the TRC TOYOTA Twilighter’s on Wednesday were blessed with rain and cooler temperatures and that was reflected in the smaller turnout of 33 golfers and more conservative scoring. But Kevin Burden played against the spin and scored 24 pts, three clear of Allan Williams. On the ladies side, Linda Williamson shot 21 with a host of others on 20.
Summer run was apparent with Peter Kenny smashing the ball out of sight on the 18th but ending up only about 15 metres in front of Jan McLaren for those two to win the Wairarapa Funeral Services Pro V1 balls. And Jan Williams nearly had a hole in one on the 8th to win the ATU ball.
Our last night before the summer break will be next Wednesday the 20th of December and then we break for two weeks to return on the 10th of January.
