The 2014 Margaret Wallace Day was held last Saturday with a disappointingly small field which included only four women, but the day itself was very successful. The Margaret Wallace is a mixed combined stableford so only four pairs were ‘eligible’ to win the trophy. Results were-

The Fagan Ford Nearest the Pin was won by Ash Peterson.
Last Wednesday, in beautiful, sunny conditions, the 9 holers played a stableford round which was won by Val Diedrichs with 19 points from Marion Matheson with 18 and third was Beet Horrocks with 17.
The Thursday New World field also got a nice day and Gavin Harris won the day with 40 points. Second was Simon Buckley and Derek Clarkson on 39, then Kelvin Biggs on 38. The All Teed Up Nearest the Pin was Sila Faaiuaso who also won a small birdsnest for his two 2’s.
The Tuesday ladies held am all day Eclectic which was won by Jane Buchanan with a stunning 65 nett. The windy conditions, at times, played havoc with both players and balls. Results were-

This Saturday the men hold the Sellar Trophy, the men’s stroke play championship with the senior and intermediate playing 36 holes and the juniors and masters playing 18 holes. Entries are still being received so ring the office or put your name up on the entries board now.
