About

Masterton Golf Club sits on Lansdowne Hill, looking out across the Wairarapa plains to the ranges beyond. It’s a setting that’s hard to beat: rolling, tree-lined fairways, well-tended greens, and an 18-hole course that rewards a thoughtful, accurate game while still offering a warm and relaxed day out for players of every standard.

We’re one of New Zealand’s oldest clubs, with a history stretching back to 1897 — but there’s nothing old-fashioned about the welcome. Today the club is home to men’s, women’s, junior and nine-hole golfers of every age and ability, with a full calendar of competitions through the season and membership options to suit however often you like to play. Visitors and groups are always welcome, whether you’re affiliated with another club or simply passing through and keen for a round of golf.

Behind the scenes, the club is proudly run by a dedicated volunteer board and cared for day to day by our greenkeeping team, supported by local sponsors and advertisers who help keep it thriving. Alongside the golf you’ll find a friendly clubhouse, a well-stocked pro shop and a café — the heart of club life on and off the course.
