Motorised Golf Cart Policy
Masterton Golf Club Board has a strong focus on the condition of the golf course and, to continue the improvement of the playing surfaces, it has developed this policy. All users of a motorised golf cart, whether private or club owned, at Masterton Golf Club must abide by these terms and conditions of use:
Cart Use
- Carts are permitted on the course at the discretion of the greenkeepers. There are times when cart use will damage the course and we thank you in advance for accepting the decision of the greens staff regarding cart use.
- Players using their own carts must seek permission from the Pro Shop and receive and sign these rules.
- All motorised golf carts are used at Masterton Golf Club at the owners' and drivers' risk.
Cart Safety
- Only licensed drivers are permitted to drive a golf cart on our course.
- Only two (2) people and two (2) golf bags are permitted on a cart at any one time.
Care of Course
- Carts must keep to cart paths at all times.
- Carts must stay at least 10 metres away from all greens.
- Never drive through casual water.
- Please avoid driving through wet or muddy areas.
- Please abide by signs and roped areas.
- Never drive onto or close to tees.
No-Go Areas (particularly during wet conditions)
- All gullies — holes 4, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.
- All rough to the right of hole 5 and to the left of hole 14.
- Any area past (north of) the fountain on hole 4.
- Take special care on the fairways of holes 1 and 18.
90 Degree Rule
Please do not drive to your ball. Park on the path or in the rough and walk across to your ball.
Exclusion of Liability
By using a motorised golf cart at the Club, the owner or driver of the cart agrees to hold the Club, All Teed Up and its officers harmless against any claim (and all costs arising from that claim) against any of them whatsoever in connection with any injury or property damage arising out of that use. This includes a claim by the owner/driver, or any third party, and includes a claim caused, or contributed to, by the Club's, All Teed Up's, or any officer of the Club's, negligence.
