In the Marquis shield singles both clubs had 5 wins a piece.
Jason Paku, Jeff Ogg, Mike Dixon, Ray Verhaart and Muzza Wolland and with Jesse Lange and Brett Gould halving their matches it came down to the four-ball games to split the teams.
Here Mahunga ruled supreme with a 4 – 2 victory, Jason Paku with Jeff Ogg and Ray Verhaart with Murray Wolland giving us our only two wins.
In the ‘off-the-stick” singles the Seniors were 2 all, the Intermediates were 3 – 1 winners and the Juniors lost 1 – 3. Six matches each.
Next and final round on Sunday 27th June is at Mahunga where we play Pahiatua.
