The final full round of the TRC Toyota Twilight was held last Wednesday and ironically the heat kept some players away, but the competition still returned some blistering rounds. Nine of the twenty five players scored twenty points or more to really celebrate this final evening.

Helen Ordish scored 25 stableford points to take out the women’s division while Rusty Jacobson, the youngest player in the field, took out the men’s division with 23 points on a count back from Tim Tatham. However Tim did not walk away empty handed- he won the Wairarapa Funeral Services Longest Drive on the 18th with Lorraine Stewart but the night was really a ‘Jacobson family’ affair with Clare Jacobson being Closest to the Pin on the 8th winning the All Teed Up golf ball while Vic Jacobson won the Matahiwi Estate Pinot Noir and the evenings raffle. A ‘fun’ round followed by trophy presentations will be held next Wednesday rain or shine starting at 4.45pm.

Club Day will be on Saturday and the men will play a bisque par competition and Moore Stephens Markham Shootout qualifier and the women, a stableford round.

Off The Fairway

Congratulations to Brent McHattie who scored a hole in one last Thursday. Brent played the perfect shot on No 13 and the ball landed short of the pin and went straight in on the first bounce.
