Founded in 1899, Masterton Golf Club pairs a genuine country-club welcome with a course that rewards golfers of every level — and it’s less than two hours from Wellington
THE COURSE
Eighteen holes of rolling, tree-lined fairways make the most of one of the region’s finest outlooks. The course is well presented year-round, with firm, true greens and a layout that’s as enjoyable for a relaxed round as it is for serious competition. Visitors and green-fee players are always welcome — bring your clubs and take in the view from the first tee, where the Tararuas stretch out before you.

Masterton Golf Club is a busy, welcoming community. From weekly competitions across our men’s, women’s, nine-hole, and veterans’ sections to club tournaments and social days, there’s always something on. Our members are what make the club — a warm, down-to-earth bunch who’ll happily make up a four.
