On Tuesday 28 July 2026, 46 women took part in the Trust House Wairarapa Women’s Foursomes, sponsored by Trust House and Harvey Norman in brilliant sunshine following a severe frost. Included were 20 visitors from other Wairarapa and Wellington Clubs and as far north as Dannevirke and Waipukurau.
Players agreed the course was in great condition given the weather we have been having, the greens particularly true and thanks expressed to our hard working greenkeepers and volunteer workers.
John Prendergast from Trust House was available to present the prizes and the overall Nadine Jansen cup was won by Sereana Phillipps and Joanne Alabaster. We offered generous prizes for Gross, Net, Stableford, nearest the pins and nearest the line on hole 7. Alan Williams kindly helped on the 18th with a chip out which was very successful. Carl Christensen was available on the course as a referee and Kevin Burden our barman.
We are always grateful for Shaun organising the draw, printing of cards and producing results at the end of the day and kindly our go to for any advice without seeming bothered! Kirsten kindly gave of her time to help take money for registration and lunch. The nine hole ladies supplied a very delicious $15.00 per head lunch and morning tea. We had an attractive raffle table with multiple prizes. We had members decorating tables with flowers.
The Ladies Golf Committee felt the day was a great success but of course could not be done without the aforementioned helpers.
